Self-portrait on the way up Chopicalqui, Peru

I was born in Lyon, France, in the autumn of 1985. Growing up there meant frequent trips to the Alps, often to Chamonix, planting the seeds of my love of the outdoors, and especially of mountains. I spent countless hours looking at the mighty Mont-Blanc, but it wasn't until August 2009 that I finally stood on its summit. These days, however, I live in very flat Denmark, which means that I have to travel to climb.

I picked up a camera seriously at the end of 2005 - just in time for my 20th birthday, and I haven't really put it down ever since. My initial motivation was to be able to record and share the wonderful views that I encountered while hiking, and later climbing. I will also shoot in urban environments, but my heart decidedly lies with nature and adventure photography.

I am also pursuing a PhD in theoretical computer science at the IT University of Copenhagen, after obtaining a Masters degree from ENS Cachan in France, back in 2007. If you're curious, you can take a look at my research page.
