The image Opening to the World is being exhibited in the Display Book of the 2009 Michael H. Kellicutt International Photo Show, on the theme Contrasting Elements, in Half Moon Bay, CA, until May 14th.

I have become a photo screener (and a gold member) on the website 1x.com/onexposure.net, which means that I am one of the crew members who accept or reject submitted images.

The image Unveiling has won the first prize of the 2009 Explorers Corner photo competition, which means that I will be going to the Galapagos soon!

The photo Tacul (again!) has won the first prize in the landscape category of the Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival 2009. If you are around Vancouver, you can see it exhibited at the Centennial Theater until the 28th of February. It will also be published in an upcoming issue of the magazine Photolife.

The photo Tacul has been selected to be included in the first edition of the fotoblur magazine.

The image Spin was one of the three winners of the French NGO Enfants du Mekong anniversary competition. It will be exhibitedat the Maison de l'Unesco, in Paris, on the 22nd and 23rd of November, 2008.

No less than 4 of the 5 photos I submitted to the Metro Global Photo Challenge have been selected as part of the best 100 Danish images. You can vote for them there to get them in the next round of the competition.

Edit: unfortunately, none made it to the top 5.

My photo Free Hugs is one of the five winners of the European PES group photo competition, on the theme "intercultural dialogue". It was judged by photographers from the agence VU and will be used in an exhibition and a book called "Fabriques de l'Europe", to open in November in Brussels and Paris.

The (excellent) website 1x.com (formerly known as onexposure.net) has awarded me a silver membership.

The photo website VFXY has awarded my photoblog Aperture First their Weekly Pick.

The photo Valley unfolding has won the Makeover Pop Photo contest.

The photo Trains has been selected for the National Geographic/Air France photo competition. It will be published in the French National Geographic from October 2008 and will be exhibited at the Air France anniversary evening, in the Grand Palais, Paris.

The trip report Magical Andes, which included a lot of my photos from 2007, has won the Travel contest at sosauce.com.
