Remote Exposure - A guide to hiking and climbing photography

My first book has been published by Rocky Nook in April 2011 and deals with both the technical and the artistic sides of mountain photography. It was written for photo enthusiasts trekkers and climbers who want to bring home better images from their trips. It is lavishly illustrated by my own mountain images, many of them for the first time in print.

The book is now widely available in English speaking countries, and you can for instance order it on Amazon and Amazon UK.

On the Image Settings page, you can see all the camera settings and equipment details used to capture the images in the book.

See what readers have to say:

All in all, the book was a good read and inspired me to improve my photography. I recommend Remote Exposure to climbers like myself, who have been taking photos for some time, but would like to up their game.
-- Alpinist Magazine

If asked to recommend a book about active photography in the outdoors, this would be the one, even above all my Galen Rowell books. All this and a stunning collection of images that could make the book stand on its own. Highly recommended.
-- Dave C, Amazon.com

Remote Exposure is a comprehensive, beautifully illustrated look inside the tool kit of a skilled mountaineer and climber who sees the world through and beyond the lens of his camera. Alexandre shares his experience and knowledge generously and with open hands.

I highly recommend this book; for those that love beautiful wilderness and outdoor images, as well as for those who love mountaineering, hiking and climbing and want to preserve those memories through photography.
-- Lovey Harwood, Amazon.com

This book is one of those must haves for anyone in love with the outdoors, photography, packing light, and into photography for the joy of it. A down-to-earth-approach and practical tips round out this fantastic book.
-- Mark Smith, Amazon.com

In conclusion I think that if you are truly serious about mountain photography, you ought to get yourself a copy of Remote Exposure. Apart from the beautiful pictures, Buisse included a large number of things you probably did not think about yet – and if you did, this book will be a great refresher still.
